Disney makes the most magical places and has wonderful options for you to enjoy such as Walt Disney World and Disneyland from Austin, TX but there is a better place to try. What place is that you ask? A Disney Cruise. Both Disney parks are a lot of fun but it comes with a lot of planning, walking, waiting, crowds, and struggles keeping the family together. All of these problems magically disappear when you step on board a Disney cruise ship. A Disney cruise simplifies all of this as you don't need to plan as much in order to enjoy the abundance of activities for all, the amazing shows, food, fabulous views, and around-the-world destinations. A Disney cruise vacation is the best of them all. 1. It is Easy to Plan A Disney Park vacation can get overwhelming. There are a lot of decisions that need to take place such as what days you want to go to a certain park(s), ordering your magic bands, selecting your FastPasses, taking advantage of the extra magic hours before and after the parks operate for the general public, and reserving your dining. For a Disney cruise it is simplified for you. They make you feel at home and welcome you on the ship by stating your family name as you board the ship, you select if you want early or late dining then your dining rotation is planned for you, there are many activities for everyone to enjoy thoughout the day, and you have your show times set. 2. Get a Relaxing Experience I am sure you will agree with me that a Disney cruise is more relaxing than your time at the Disney parks. Don't get me wrong, Disney World and Disneyland are extremely fun but mind you there are miles of daily walking, lines to wait in for rides and lines for food if you don't have reservations. Many feel like they need a vacation after vacationing at the Disney parks. On the Disney cruise you still have so much to see and do while covering less territory. 3. Quality Live Entertainment Disney cruises offer dancing in the lounges and you might just get a chance to dance with Goofy before bedtime, magicians, comedians, and talented musicians. Disney also provides Broadway shows for you to enjoy each night such as The Golden Mickey and many others. Similar entertainment can also be enjoyed in Austin, TX. 4. Amazing and Creative Dining Whether you are enjoying Animator's Palate where characters come to life, The Royal Court, Triton's or others the whole family will be charmed not only by the atmosphere and creativity along with a variety of quality menus. There are adult only restaurants that offer impeccable service, views and food such as Palo and Remy (depending on the ship). 5. Adult Time Without the Kids When you are at Disney World or Disneyland you have to supervise the kids all day. When you are on a Disney cruise ship they offer kids clubs and teen clubs so you can drop the kids off while you enjoy an evening dinner or while you enjoy an excursion at one of the ports. This is a great way for the adults to reconnect during a family vacation. There are many adult activities on the ship from games to beer and wine tastings to enjoy. There are adult swimming pools, spa, bars and coffee shops as well. Many think a Disney cruise is just for families with kids but your wrong. You will see many adults from Austin on the ship without kids. I even spoke with a gentleman who is a world traveler to find out why he chose to sail with Disney and he shared that it was the customer service you receive. That is what keeps him coming back and sailing with Disney. 6. Food Any Time The is a plethora of yummy food for you to enjoy anytime you want it on the ship. You will have amazing experiences in the sit down dining rooms that you will rotate through each night. If you enjoy soft drinks you will enjoy the unlimited sodas, ice cream, that late night sandwhich or fresh fruit and this is all included! 7. Disney Cruise Character Photos Easier (Shorter Lines Than in the Park) Disney cruise line makes it easy for you to know where to find the characters throughout the ship for pictures in your daily newsletter. This gives you time to dress up the kids in their favorite custom before meeting Mickey and the gang. You will see the characters in different outfits throughout the sailing. A Disney vacation is never complete without snapping pictures of your favorite characters. 8. Beautiful Views When sailing on a cruise you get to see some amazing views. This is a great reason to pick a cruise over a park. You will have some beautiful sunsets, landscapes, birds, etc. to see and you don't have to fight for a seat. There are plenty of seats all around the ship. It is not elbow to elbow like the parks when watching the firework shows. Yes, you will get to see fireworks on the Disney cruise as well! You just have to decide which destination you want to explore so you can enjoy the magnificent views the world has to offer. 9. Explore the World The better choice of the two is obviously enjoying the Disney magic on a cruise vs. the parks. You only get to visit samples of the countries around the world at Disney's Epcot Showcase while you can experience exoctic destinations all over the world with a Disney cruise. Disney Cruise Line sails to Alaska, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Europe and Panama Canal while departing from Austin. Once you are done exploring it is back on the ship for more Disney fun. 10. Total Cost Isn't a Surprise When you take a Disney cruise from Austin, TX you are not having to worry about tallying up your vacation bill after every dinner, show or movie you have done. The majority of the cruise cost-the room, the food, and the activities is already included in the package. The few things that you would still need to cover are the gratuities, excursions, specialty dining and alcohol. The cruise is much easier to budget than the parks.
